Zoo Negara Malaysia (Malaysia National Zoo) was officially opened on 14th November 1963 and is situated 5km from the city of Kuala Lumpur. Zoo Negara is one of the most famous tourist spots in Malaysia and has over 5137 specimen from 476 species of mammals, birds, reptiles, amphibians and fish.

The Zoo is open daily from 9.00a.m. to 5.00p.m and the Entrance fees are as follows:-

There are fantastic Animal Shows throughout the year and my personal favourite is always the interactions and photos sessions after the shows. There are 2 shows per day i.e. 11.00a.m. and 3.00p.m. (Daily) and 11.a.m. and 3.30p.m. (Friday) (subject to change).

It is very important for visitors to study the map in advance and it is advisable to always fix a 'meet up point' in the event any of the members is loss.
